DANOPHONE is the musical side project of Danish science journalist Carsten Nielsen: A poetic counterweight to the fact based world of research and technology.
The debut album “Rerun” featured a gallery of habitual offenders repeating their sad mistakes like reruns of old movies. It was a catalogue of regrets and a glaring paradox since being a
Danophone (“Danish speaking by birth or adoption”) means you’re living in one of the “world’s happiest countries” according to the UN.
Obviously DANOPHONE are lousy ambassadors for that part of the national branding. But as the happiness-index now seems to decline, the band intends to counter the mood swing with less gloomy songs.
New music is slated to release in late summer 2024.
